My passion for counseling goes way beyond just an interest in the field. I grew up in an unconventional family environment that has played a huge role in inspiring my love for the counseling field. In the fourth grade, I was selected to be a peer mediator for my class. It was at the age of 10 that my life's path was laid before me and I've been working toward becoming a counselor ever since. In December of 2013, I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Upon graduation, I began working at a behavioral health hospital where I gained real world knowledge about the many concerns that individuals face
in their lives. In January of 2015, I began the counseling program at the University of North Texas. Since being in graduate school I have found that I have a specific interest in working with adults with various concerns and also working with couples. I have such an appreciation for each individual's unique human experience and I feel truly blessed that I am able to share in a journey of healing with my clients. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of human-to-human healing and I hope to foster a trusting, safe, and warm environment that encourages growth and insight for clients. "A gift given is a gift received."
