Whatever you may be going through…relational conflict, internalized distress, family issues, and/or everyday struggles, chances are, Scott’s been there. He believes a willingness to work towards desired success is the best course of action. If you need a humble, helpful guide to join you on your journey, Scott will gladly accompany and thank you for the privilege.
Hailing from Fort Worth, Scott attended Texas Wesleyan University where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. Before embarking on his new and fulfilling career as a therapist, Scott spent time as an actor and a playwright. He joined the LifeWorks family to earn his LMFT Associate/LPC Intern hours with us, and we are thrilled to have him on board! He currently works out of our Fort Worth office and specializes in the LGBTQ population, social anxiety, chronic illness, and relational distress.
Interesting fact – Scott is a local actor who has appeared on stage in over 30 productions, however; he experiences episodes of social anxiety when not acting on the stage. This discovery and disclosure has led him to study cognitive behavioral therapy to help himself better understand the how and why for himself and, consequently, for his clients. This
experience with social anxiety allows him to empathize with his clients, as Scott firsthand understands how debilitating it can feel.
When he is not seeking academic pursuits, or furthering his own education as a therapist, Scott can usually be found attending local comic-cons, collecting autographs as an experienced fanboy, playing video games or continuing his work as a fledgling novelist and produced playwright. Oh, and he LOVES Star Wars and escape rooms.
