Courtney was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and enjoys the DFW area. Growing up, she spent the majority of her time outdoors and was known as the neighborhood tomboy. She admits to being the talkative, outgoing only child, in a small close-knit family.
Courtney received her Bachelors degree at Texas A&M University in Agricultural Communications and Journalism and obtained her Master’s in Counseling and Development at Texas Woman’s University.
At the early age of 14, she learned how important counseling was when her father died of pancreatic cancer. Through her own grief counseling, she learned how beneficial the counseling process can be. From her first-hand experience she developed a desire to become a grief counselor to help others through their life-and-death struggles. Courtney is passionate about empowering clients and enjoys working with a wide age range. She incorporates expressive arts into her sessions to provide an experiential experience, which allows clients to create new insight and growth. Courtney wanted to advance her experiential and mindfulness skills – therefore she enrolled in LISPY’s 200 hour advanced psychotherapeutic yoga training. She is a recent graduate and now offers individual yoga sessions to her clients for $70 an hour and $90 for an hour and a half. Namaste!
Courtney enjoys combining counseling, fitness, nutrition, animal therapy and the outdoors. When she’s not LifeWorking, Courtney enjoys searching for the perfect craft beer, kayaking, spending time with friends and learning the banjo. She also has a legendary affection for cheese.
