Regan Paulsen

Regan spent most of her growing up days creating music. She fell in love with the clarinet when she picked it up in the 6th grade and hasn’t put it down since. As a self-proclaimed band nerd, Regan marched in band all the way through high school and college at The University of Oklahoma. She still occasionally hears Boomer Sooner in her sleep.

Deciding she wanted to love music for the rest of her life, she chose not to make it her career. She earned her B.A. in Psychology in 2012. Regan recognized that four years in the state of Oklahoma were enough for her and she returned home to Dallas where she belongs, graduating with her M.S. in Counseling at Texas Woman’s University in Denton in December of 2014.

Regan’s experiences with performance anxiety, as a musician, as well as with OCD led her to seek specific training in these disorders. Regan specializes in working with those struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She has a unique understanding of the anxious mind and works with clients to find the combination of techniques that work best for them. Whether it’s OCD, a phobia or severe anxiety, Regan helps clients get back the confidence and control over the fear that can take over everything.

When she is not at Lifeworks, Regan is quilting, creating clothing and costumes, beading, making music with her composer husband, and learning banjo on the side. If it is musical or crafty, Regan loves it and she’s always willing to try something new.
