  • Self-Esteem
  • Health and Fitness
  • Spirituality
  • Sexuality

If you are interested in joining the group, but a topic you want to address is not on the list, let us know! Topics will be flexible to the needs of selected participants.

Members must be interviewed by a group facilitator prior to joining. This is to ensure that the group is appropriate for you and that you are a good fit for the group. This intake session will be available during the day, evenings, and weekends based on the availability of the counselor and will last 30 to 50 minutes. This will be an opportunity to go over your own goals and expectations for the group.

Meetings take place at the Lifeologie Institute in Dallas. The address is 3303 Lee Parkway, Suite 330, Dallas, TX 75219.

COST

The cost of the intake session will be a one-time fee of $55. If not selected, counselors will offer referrals for other services. If the group has enough interest for a waitlist, waitlisted individuals who join a later SIS group will not be charged the fee again and will be notified when the group is offered again. Intake sessions can take place virtually or in person.

For selected participants, the cost per weekly session is $40. Participants pay for sessions in two payments of $200 each. Participants who make one large payment will save $40 (payment of $360) and those who pay for 3 months upfront will save $80 (payment of $400). For the benefit of the group, all members agree to a minimum commitment of two months, independently of payment option selected. To allow for new cohorts, members are asked to take at least a one month break after 3 consecutive months of attendance.

More about cost:  Due to various and historical barriers to counseling for this population, cost is prohibitive to some. For this reason, the weekly session cost is far below what one may pay for individual counseling sessions in private practice ($105-$125 for the group facilitators, for example). Group therapy is not a replacement for individual counseling but may help you get started on your counseling journey or receive some of the same benefits. Please also note that the sessions are not pro-rated; the monthly payment covers all group sessions for the month, including sessions a participant may not attend.
