Get to know Courtney

Courtney specializes in grief counseling and has completed training in EMDR and psychotherapeutic yoga to help individuals struggling with complicated grief, anxiety, disturbing memories, and stress reduction.  In addition to using EMDR and yoga therapy, Courtney enjoys combining traditional talk therapy with mindfulness, movement, and experiential activities. She is passionate about working with 'all things teen' related, as well as adults.

She is an accomplished artist and creative soul, Courtney also incorporates expressive arts into her sessions to effect an experiential change, allowing clients to create new insight and growth.

Courtney was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, and enjoys the DFW area. Growing up, she spent the majority of her time outdoors or drawing.

At the early age of 14, Courtney learned how important counseling was when her father died of pancreatic cancer. Through her own grief counseling, she learned how beneficial the counseling process can be. From her first-hand experience, she developed a desire to become a grief counselor to help others through their life-and-death struggles.

Courtney also became a first-time mother in 2022 and throughout her own pregnancy and postpartum journey, she realized she has a calling to work with this population.  Whether it be infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, or the life-long journey of parenthood, Courtney wants to help.

When she’s not LifeWorking, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family or being outside. She also has a legendary affection for cheese, particularly queso.  Encanta queso!
