Courtney specializes in grief counseling and has completed training in EMDR and psychotherapeutic yoga to help individuals struggling with complicated grief, anxiety, depression, and stress reduction. In addition to using EMDR and yoga therapy, Courtney enjoys combining traditional talk-therapy with mindfulness, movement, and experiential activities.
She is passionate about working with ‘all things teen’ related, as well as adults. She is an accomplished artist and creative soul, Courtney also incorporates expressive arts into her sessions to effect an experiential change, allowing clients to create new insight and growth.
Courtney recently became a new mom and feels excited to further her specialization in women’s issues, life transitions/identity post baby, and postpartum.
Courtney was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and enjoys the DFW area. Growing up, she spent the majority of her time outdoors or drawing.
At the early age of 14, Courtney learned how important counseling was when her father died of pancreatic cancer. Through her own grief counseling, she learned how beneficial the counseling process can be. From her first-hand experience, she developed a desire to become a grief counselor to help others through their life-and-death struggles.
When she’s not LifeWorking, Courtney enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also has a legendary affection for cheese, particularly queso. Encanta queso!
