Get to know Dianna

Dianna is passionate about meeting people where they are in their journey and walking alongside them to discover themselves and grow as individuals.  Counseling for her means being genuine and creating a safe space, free of judgment, and encouraging awareness about themselves and their relationships. Her hope is that each person walks away feeling cared for, respected, and listened to in a way that produces healing and resolution of issues.  She works with individuals with many different issues including infertility, anxiety, and trauma.

Dianna has been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which can be used alongside traditional talk therapies to help in the treatment of trauma and PTSD.

Dianna also specializes in marriage counseling and family therapy. Having had a marriage that ended in divorce and one now that has lasted more than 20 years has taught her much about losing and fighting for a relationship. Being raised in a family with seven kids, raising four of her own, and battling through a season of infertility, Dianna has a passion for helping others work through all the parenting challenges that come with having and raising children.

Dianna was born and raised in a small town in Kansas and worked in corporate accounting after getting her degree from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!). In just 2 years, she had a daughter and a set of triplets (don’t you feel exhausted just reading that?), but continued working until making the decision to stay home with the kids. She soon did what many would do after spending years at home with kids: she decided to become a mental health professional. In all seriousness, time at home cultivated some soul-searching, allowing her the space to realize that she was made for more than one purpose. She found a passion for listening and comforting people through difficulties, so joined the Stephens Ministry team at her local church. She later returned to school to pursue a Master's in Professional Counseling and a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Whether it helps with your marriage, dating, or parenting, Dianna would love to help you improve your relationships in a way that will make them stronger and more connected than they have ever been before.
