Get to know Teresa
Based out of the Frisco office, Teresa Vasquez is a bilingual clinician with over 15 years of experience serving the children, youth, individuals and families within the community in her hometown in Southern California and in North Texas. Throughout her career, she has supported teens and young adults to find their source of anger, empowered members of the BIPOC community in overcoming barriers, facilitated support groups and helped clients identify sources of trauma. Teresa received her Master of Social Work in May 2021 from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.
Teresa knows first-hand what it is to be resilient and overcome adversity. Having grown up in an impoverished community plagued by drugs and gangs, all while being raised by a single-mother, she knew the odds were stacked against her. Her determination to ensure her children had a better future and greater opportunities than she did led her to become a first generation college graduate.
Teresa provides a welcoming environment by being honest, supportive and non-judgmental, all while intertwining her sense of humor. She thrives on empowering her clients in setting, reaching and surpassing goals that are realistic and attainable. Teresa believes that everyone has the inherent strength to overcome any obstacles in their life…they just sometimes need a little guidance getting there.
In addition to serving clients out of the Frisco office, Teresa is also a school social worker. Being a mom of athletes, you will often find Teresa at a local field or court, crafting with her Cricut or watching sports. She loves to dance and always makes sure the people around her are always all smiling.
