Get to know Taylor

Taylor is passionate about working with older teens and adults who want help with depression, anxiety, stress management, grief, identity issues, mindfulness, religious trauma, LGBTQIA +, and women’s issues. Taylor also works with veterans who are struggling to transition back to civilian life. In her sessions, Taylor hopes to foster an environment that allows each client to feel safe being their authentic self and empower each individual on their own journey to self-discovery. While Taylor primarily relies on reality therapy, she believes each individual is unique and integrates several approaches to meet the needs of each person with whom she has the pleasure of working.

Taylor was born and raised in the DFW area. Right out of high school, Taylor enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and trained as a behavioral health technician. During her time in the service, the experience she gained was invaluable and solidified her journey to working in mental health. Taylor has worked at a variety of mental health settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, and nonprofits. Taylor received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas Arlington and is currently finishing her master’s in counseling at Texas A&M University Commerce.

When Taylor is not working or in sessions, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing Zelda, or spending time in the great outdoors. Taylor and her wife are dog moms to three special pups, Duke, Hazzard, and Clementine.
