Amber hopes to work with individuals, adolescents, adults, and groups. She has been passionate about helping individuals have a fulfilled life since she was young. She was always the cheerful little girl walking around to others and telling them “I hope you have a great day today” and continued to want to help others throughout high school and college by being present for others when they felt no one else was there for them. She believes the relationship between the counselor and client is of utmost importance so that individuals feel safe to share their thoughts and concerns freely without feeling judged. She hopes to create a safe, accepting, and positive environment that allows clients to feel welcome and willing to work without being afraid to explore their inner selves.
Amber is a native Texan. She was born in Houston, Texas and raised in a small town named Brenham (home of Blue Bell ice cream and some of the most beautiful bluebonnets in Texas). She grew up with a large family and her family home was always a safe spot for family to come together and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Amber attended one year of school at UTSA (go Roadrunners) then transferred and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016 (Hook ‘em) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Communications. Upon graduation, she worked in a research lab on campus than in a Montessori before coming to the DFW area. She is currently a Master’s Level Intern working towards her Masters of Science in Counseling and Development with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health at Texas Woman’s University.
When Amber is not at Lifeologie or school, she enjoys being outside and exploring the DFW area as well as working out or playing indoor soccer on rainy days. She also loves being able to bake and cook new recipes; color or draw new pictures; unwind on the couch with Netflix and her cat, Cleo; and traveling to the coast when she can.
