Tween Girl Yoga Group

Middle School- Ugh! Most of us have a visceral reaction to this time in our lives. Seldom do you hear someone say, “Those were the best 3 years of my life.” Wouldn’t it be great to give your child the skills to become more confident and empowered through yoga, self-love, and compassion?

This is a 6-week group for self-identifying females in middle school! This group will consist of a 45-minute practice and a 30-minute self-love exercise. This group will teach the foundations of yoga, mindfulness, breathing, and meditation. Through this group, we will gain confidence, concentration, self-compassion, emotional regulation, and to learn new coping skills for stress-management in a safe environment!

How can this yoga group help?

In 6 weeks, your child will learn:

  • What yoga is and how it can help them (focus, concentration, letting go)
  • How to use breathing as a coping skills
  • What mindfulness is and what it does to the brain
  • How to have a stronger relationship with themselves
  • What it means to love yourself
  • How to guide your decisions through self-compassion
  • What it means to be empowered

  • Do the parents attend?
    • This is just a time for your child to connect to herself and the other group members.
  • What if I have to miss a session?
    • I can meet with your child 1:1 to ensure that they are getting the most out of the group.
  • What if the weather is too bad to attend?
    • We will either reschedule or push out the last week as necessary.
