Come to Painting and Perfection, and let us help you create a masterpiece that you can be proud of, all while having fun and making new friends.
You will get the opportunity to paint a scenic portrait on a canvas while learning how to embrace your unique creation. You will engage in a fun environment with other painters. Proudly showing your painting to your friends and family afterward is highly encouraged.
This event is FREE. All materials included, just show up as you are.
Who: Adults, 18+
What: We will be painting a scenic image and learning how to beat perfectionism and embrace our creative minds.
Where: The Amy Van Andel Library in Ada.
When: Thursday evening, January 20th from 6:30-7:30 PM.
Why: Learning a new skill is hard and everyone makes mistakes. Learn some helpful tricks and techniques to overcome “perfectionism” and embrace your inner creativity through a fun painting workshop in a supportive environment.
I don’t know how to paint, is this workshop for me?
Yes! Painters of all levels are welcome to join.
How will we be looking at perfectionism?
That is a great question! We will provide a guided discussion throughout the workshop that includes various mindfulness techniques, as well as allow time for reflection and observation.
How often is this workshop provided?
Currently, this is the only time this workshop will be provided, so we encourage you to attend if you are interested. Spots are limited to 20 people, so please plan to arrive early as it will be first-come, first-serve.
Katie Peterson is a Master’s Level Intern at Lifeologie. Katie loves working with teens, adults and couples to help them identify and navigate challenges and areas of struggle as well as celebrate and recognize their growth. Anne Coughenour is a Master’s Level Intern at Lifeologie. Anne is particularly interested in working with individuals with depression and/or anxiety, as well as new parents who are struggling with the shift into caring for a child.
