Benjamin Ramon was born in San Angelo, Texas and raised in the small ranching community of Mason, Texas. He has honed his people skills by serving in various forms of Christian ministry for 20 years. He has held roles such as pastor, planter, youth pastor, college campus minister, missionary, non-profit executive director, and interim roles. The one constant has always been a desire to help people step into all they were created to be.
His dedication towards doing good led him to pursue counseling as his best avenue to impact people. Benjamin completed a Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology, preparing him to soon become a fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Additionally, he has sought out and achieved certifications such as Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1 and 2) and EMDR for the treatment of trauma. He is also a member of the American Counseling Association.
From the perspective of a father, husband, son, and leader, Benjamin acknowledges that this world can be very difficult to navigate and relationships can be a great indicator of the chaos within a person. People tell themselves stories to make sense of the world and sometimes, those stories are more informed by wounds than they are true. He is dedicated to stepping into wholeness for himself, helping others with wholeness, and contributing towards wholeness societally. His role as a counselor is to help clients recognize blind spots, uncover false stories directed at oneself, and gain tools to help in healing.
Benjamin considers himself an avid, lifelong learner and is excited for an opportunity to serve alongside people looking for a boost in the right direction. He likes to employ various types of therapies with clients such as Bowen Family Systems Theory, Narrative Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), and Gottman Method Couples Therapy, of which he is certified. Most of his experience has largely been working with couples and individuals to help them work through places they are “stuck” in life.
Benjamin has been married since 2002 and is raising three kids and a dog named Vanilla. He loves everything there is about basketball! In his free time, he enjoys watching a good movie.
