While no situation is too sticky for Ben to help with, he especially enjoys teen counseling and working with young adults as they discover who they are and navigate school, social anxieties and issues of depression. Ben is passionate about connecting with people and making sure they feel safe to work through whatever it is that is tangling them up. He is excited to be a part of Lifeologie Counseling Grand Rapids.
Nervous about counseling? Fear not! In Ben’s quest to connect with people, he works hard to make sure that people feel heard and empowered, and that they feel safe to REALLY get better.
Ben is a true Michigander, and has lived in the mitten state for most of his life. He ventured south to Ohio for his undergraduate degree (but we won’t hold that against him) to earn his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!). He completed his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Aquinas College.
When not seeing clients or studying, Ben can be found rooting for the Lions, watching comedies, and spending time with his friends and family. He loves going to Lake Michigan in the summer and can often be found at local Grand Rapids restaurants such as the Old Goat and Vivant.
At a time when mental health services are more important than ever, Lifeologie is offering remote therapy, remote group and mini-sessions, and discounted services for front-line personnel.
