Cassie enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and work-life transitions. She also likes working with military spouses as these relationships have an important place in her heart. In addition to working with adults, Cassie is passionate about working with children, using a play therapy approach, and adolescents as they maneuver those difficult middle and high school years. She understands that children and teens can face many challenges as they grow up, and sometimes feel they have nowhere to turn. Cassie uses her practice to teach children and adolescents developmentally appropriate ways to navigate challenging times and strives to create a welcoming environment for each client she meets.
Cassie was born and raised in Fort Worth and comes from a close-knit family. She chose to kick-start her college career by moving to Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma, which is where she fell in love with counseling! During a practicum course at a local hospital, Cassie was paired with a client to spend time with. This experience allowed Cassie to learn and understand the healing power of a therapeutic relationship and it inspired her to follow her heart toward a counseling career. After completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Oklahoma, she was excited to return home to Texas to continue her education. She recently completed her Master’s degree at the University of North Texas at Dallas.
When she is not working, Cassie enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, baking, and reading a good book. She also loves spending time outdoors with her new puppy, Bonanza.
