A Texas native, Elsa was born and raised in the DFW area. She ran away to The University of California Irvine for college but soon realized that Texas was the best state in the nation. She eventually returned to Dallas and obtained her Master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and is now able to get her fill of Blue Bell ice cream regularly.
Throughout Elsa’s life, many of her loved ones found healing through counseling, inspiring her to be a part of that process in helping others. Elsa loves working with people to break through painful experiences, and especially enjoys working with adults struggling with trauma, depression, and anxiety. As a trained EMDR clinician, she uses a highly tested technique to leverage the neuropsychological and structural components of the brain to treat trauma, depression, complex anxiety and a number of other severe issues. She believes nobody’s story is beyond healing and works to help people find and create redeeming experiences through a safe exploring space in counseling.
When Elsa is not counseling, you can find her watching football with her husband, buried in a good book, or playing with her dog. She is passionate about improving education and has guided youth through the hard teen years.
Elsa works out of our Frisco location on most days and is also available at our Plano/Richardson office.
