Kenia, an Oak Cliff local, has seen the community prosper over the last few years. She is passionate about helping those in her community. She believes in spreading awareness to break down the stigma of mental illness in the Hispanic community by educating the benefits of counseling.
Kenia completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Dallas. She doubled majored in psychology and child learning and development. She is currently earning her Master’s degree in counseling from Texas Woman’s University.
Kenia is dedicated to helping children and their families. She has provided intensive services to many children with severe emotional disturbances and has helped these children and their families stabilize after experiencing a crisis.
In her spare time, Kenia loves to spend time with her husband and their 3 kitties, Quasimodo, Beetlejuice and Frankenstein. She tries to spend as much time as possible with family and friends. Kenia also loves to see new places.
When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.
