Lauren is dedicated to the healing process within the therapeutic relationship and the safety of a non-judgmental counseling environment. In addition to her time with child and adolescent clients, she has 15 years of experience working with children in other various professional settings, including classroom teaching, directing children’s choirs, and teaching private music lessons.
With a background in music performance, Lauren is passionate about sharing mental health information and coping skills with musicians and artists who may be experiencing difficulty in the unique settings of their profession. Recently, Lauren began work as a visiting guest speaker for colleges, addressing “Mental Health for the Performing Artist,” which has been introduced to multiple colleges as well as various artistic institutions in Texas, Iowa, Ohio, Florida, Puerto Rico, and New York.
Lauren completed her Master of Science in clinical mental health in 2019, from the University of North Texas and graduated in 2011 from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music with a degree in organ performance. She is the director of music and organist at Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church in Heath, Texas. Lauren lives in Bishop Arts with her partner Ryan, and her puppy dog Murphy.
