If you think you might be having some relationship struggles, Nick is your guy. Nick specializes in working with couples, marriages, and families. Nick loves to help people better understand each other so that they can improve their relationships. Seeing families become better connected and happier together is what drives him. He also enjoys helping people manage their stress, enjoys working with men’s issues, and with young adults.
Nick believes that there is no unlovable person (not. a. single. one.) and that everyone deserves to have fulfilling relationships. He believes in always being authentic and loves to have spontaneous deep conversations with others. He was once told by a colleague that he has special powers that get other people to word-vomit their life stories in front of him (typically the mark of a good therapist).
Nick was born and raised in Muskegon, MI before attending Grand Valley State University with a plan of becoming a dentist. Nick quickly realized that although he hated science classes (we don’t blame him), he still wanted to be in a profession that helps others. Nick switched his major to psychology with the plan of becoming a marriage and family therapist. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Nick attended Western Michigan University. Nick graduated in 2017 with his Master’s degree in Counseling Education – Marriage Counseling, Couples Counseling, and Family Counseling. He currently holds LLPC and LLMFT licenses.
Nick married a beautiful nurse that he met at GVSU and has two English Yellow Labs. Nick is a laid-back guy who loves to get the most out of his relationships with others. He spends tons of time on the beaches of West Michigan during all seasons of the year, hangs out with his wife and their friends, and is usually be glued to the TV on football Saturdays (Go Blue!).
