Noel specializes in eating disorder counseling, as well as anxiety and anxiety-related conditions, and adult children of alcoholics, as well as teens struggling with body image issues and identity development. Using yoga, meditation, and traditional psychotherapy, she brings a science-based mind-body approach to her work, along with her gentle, witty and encouraging spirit. Her passion for working with eating disorders and body image issues comes from her own experience with these very common struggles — as does her compassion for anyone with disordered eating or body image issues.
Noel is a small town girl at heart. She’s all about doing good in the universe and looking after the people in her circle with care and integrity (and with boundaries, of course!). She’s is a creative soul who loves giving back. Karma’s got nothing on her!
After studying Studio Art at The University of Texas at Austin (for real – this girl is amazing), Noel turned her creative energy to counseling and psychotherapeutic yoga and received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Texas and her 1000 hr LPY from the LISPY school for psychotherapeutic yoga. Noel is an LPC and is also LISPY trained as a 200 RYT, specializing in psychotherapeutic yoga. She is also a senior member of the LISPY faculty.
In addition to her clinical work with eating disorders and anxiety-based issues, Noel works with individuals, groups, and corporations to implement mindfulness and wellness into their daily lives. She enjoys public speaking and educating groups on the benefits of stress reduction programs, mindfulness, and mental health initiatives.
A Rockwall native and certified small-town hippie, Noel enjoys spending time with her family (and their chickens) on her urban farm.
