Noell specializes in adults with anxiety and depression, couples therapy, difficulties with dating, life transitions, and is EMDR trained. Her passion for the counseling field began when her fourth grade school counselor selected her to be a peer mediator. This opportunity proved to be an “Aha” moment for Noell; having grown up with a lot of family conflict, Noell became infatuated with the concept that conflict doesn’t have to persist; it can be managed, if not resolved. At the ripe age of 10 years old, Noell’s life path was laid before her.
Since then, Noell has been working toward becoming a counselor. In December of 2013, she graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration with the goal of obtaining a graduate degree in counseling and opening her own ice cream parlor. Upon graduation, she began working at an inpatient behavioral health hospital where she has since gained invaluable knowledge and perspective about the many concerns that individuals face in life. In December of 2017, Noell completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas. Lifeologie was lucky to snag her as an intern during her graduate program, and now as an LPC-Intern!
Noell has an appreciation for each individual’s unique human experience and feels truly blessed to share in the journey of healing with her clients. She believes wholeheartedly in the power of human-to-human healing. Her approach is one that is compassionate and empathic at all times, humorous when appropriate, and direct when needed. It is these qualities that she believes aids change, insight, and enlightenment.
My spirit for life is fueled by my love for my family, husband, friends, and animals. In my downtime, you will catch me watching (and probably yelling at) the FoodNetwork or HGTV channel (because clearly, I am the expert in all things food and home). In addition to being a counselor, I have a dream of owning my own ice cream parlor; I might be a little obsessed with ice cream.
