Dallas Native With Close Ties To The Community

Rachel grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. As a child, Rachel was very involved in a wide variety of activities such as art, competitive dance, softball, volleyball, speech competitions and even, math olympics. She attended private school and the same church from kindergarten through high school, which allowed for close-knit relationships and community. From there she transitioned to studying at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Continuously Learning & Expanding Counseling Expertise

In 2014, Rachel graduated with a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. During her time at SFA, she was able to perform research in the areas of body image as well as neuropsychology. In addition, she spent time leading small groups at church and volunteering in collegiate organizations, which confirmed her passion for working with people.  Her time there fueled her passion for helping others via the realm of counseling. Rachel received her Masters in Biblical Counseling at the Dallas Theological Seminary in 2018. She looks forward to the continued process of learning and practicing alongside the Lifeologie team.

Rachel enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with disruptive behaviors, body image and eating disorders, self-esteem and identity issues, adjustment issues, anxiety and depression issues, and family and relationship issues. She has a passion for walking alongside others in order to find healing and provide a safe space for each person to grow and be able to experience the fullness of life and hope.

Feeling Safe and Being Authentic

Rachel’s goal is to create an environment where others can feel safe, be authentic, and grow in trust to promote holistic healing. She desires to listen to both the joys and heartaches that one will inevitably experience daily. Her goal is to be edifying and provide practical tools that one can use in daily life outside of the office, which allows for the opportunity of fuller, better life, and relationships with others.

During grad school, she was also lucky enough to become a flight attendant for a major US airline, allowing her to experience many different cultures as she traveled the world. During her time as a flight attendant, she was able to serve as a Peer Support Representative, supporting fellow flight attendants emotionally after critical instances at work, providing grief support, and offering mental health prevention education.

When Rachel is not counseling, she enjoys traveling, a good Netflix binge, DIY home projects, or a sweet family day at the park with her husband and son.
