Get to know Ariel

Ariel Butler, LCMHC, received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University. During the last 8 years, she has worked mostly with children in educational settings, but in recent years, has been providing counseling services to teens, young adults and adults. Ariel loves working with teens and young adults  because she has the opportunity to shape great minds, teach valuable life skills, and help build self esteem.
 
Ariel specializes in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, eating disorders, anger management, behavioral issues, school/career issues, coping skills, life transitions, relationship issues, and sexual assault survivors. Ariel is committed to providing culturally competent work and is an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. 
 
Ariel utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy with a strengths-based perspective, and mindfulness practices.
 
Ariel knows life can be stressful, overwhelming, and challenging. She believes we are all capable of positive change and becoming the best version of ourselves. She is very passionate about her work and knows every client deserves to have a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where they are able to feel empowered & achieve their goals. Ariel is very excited to be part of such a dynamic and talented group of professionals at Lifeologie Counseling!
 
When Ariel is not providing counseling for her clients she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, traveling, reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
