Get to know Amber

Amber enjoys working with adolescents, adults, individuals struggling with body image issues, stress, anxiety and panic attacks, anger management, life transitions, identity development, those recovering from an eating disorder, and uses expressive arts, mindfulness, and psychotherapeutic yoga to help facilitate change. She has been passionate about helping individuals have a fulfilled life since she was very young.

Amber is a native Texan, she grew up with a large family and her family home has always been a safe spot for family to come together and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Amber attended one year of school at UTSA (go Roadrunners) then transferred and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016 (Hook ‘em) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Communications. After taking a much-needed break, she attended Texas Woman’s University where she started her journey here at Lifeologie. Since graduating TWU in the fall of 2019 with a Master’s of Science in Counseling and Development, she is now a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher through the LISPY school and her passion continues to grow and evolve with time.

Amber was always the cheerful little girl walking around to others and telling them “I hope you have a great day today,” she has always been someone whom others could confide in and has a passion to be present for others when they believe they have no one else. She believes the relationship between the counselor and client is of utmost importance so that individuals feel safe to share their thoughts and concerns freely without feeling judged. She hopes to create a safe, accepting, and positive environment that allows clients to feel welcome and willing to work without being afraid to explore their inner selves.

When Amber is not at Lifeologie, she enjoys being outside and exploring the DFW area as well as playing soccer or doing yoga. She also loves being able to bake and cook new recipes; color or draw new pictures; unwind on the couch with Netflix and her cat, Cleo; and traveling to the coast when she can.
