Brooke is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in Raleigh, NC. She is originally from the Charlotte area but now calls Raleigh home. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a minor in African American studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and then returned to obtain her Masters degree in Counseling, and Education Specialist certificate. Brooke developed a curiosity for understanding human behavior and the complexities of relationships early in life. Her compassion and desire to make a positive impact on people's lives led her to pursue a career in counseling. Brooke began her counseling career as a high school counselor and has therapeutic experience working with a wide variety of clients including adolescents, young adults, and couples.

Brooke is passionate about empowering clients to navigate the complexities of life, foster personal growth, and build fulfilling relationships. Brooke's therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration to provide a non-judgmental space while acknowledging the impact that oppression and trauma can have on our well-being. By fostering a genuine connection, Brooke wants clients to feel understood, validated, and supported throughout their journey. Drawing from a diverse range of evidence-based modalities, Brooke tailors her interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual or couple she works with. She employs trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral techniques, Gottman methods for couples, strength-based and mindfulness practices to develop coping strategies and cultivate self-compassion. Seeking therapy can be an intimidating and vulnerable experience and Brooke is proud of your strength for taking this first step.
