Get to know Corrie

With a theatre and education background Corrie has a unique perspective in working with children and adolescents. Her experience with young children includes four years as a professional nanny. Corrie then taught and directed theatre at the middle school level for ten years.  It was her students that inspired her to get her master’s degree in professional counseling.  Her time at Texas State University was meaningful and prepared her for three years as a school counselor.

Corrie is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and their families. When facing challenges like grief, anxiety, an ADHD diagnosis, and general school struggles, Corrie will provide you with the tools you need! Not just to manage, but to actually thrive!

Foster and adoption is also a topic close to Corrie’s heart. If your family was built (or is currently being built) in this unique way, Corrie is here to encourage relationship building. Family dynamics are critical. When you’re in the middle of life's chaos, Corrie will bring the calm. A focus on growth, mindfulness, and self-efficacy will be part of the conversation.

In her free time, you will find Corrie exploring the beautiful parks of western Michigan. Travel and art are two of Corrie’s passions.  At home, the family enjoys their two cats, Harper and Scout.
