Get to know Daniel

Daniel Williamson grew up in a military family, where he lived on both East and West Coasts of the United States by age 10.   Adapting to new environments and being open to change has helped prepare Daniel in his personal life and professional career.  After over a decade in the Logistics and Distribution industry serving in management and consulting roles, some self-reflection changed his career path into the direction of utilizing his experience and skills in a field that helped people flourish and navigate life’s inevitable changes and transitions. Guided by his faith, along with support from his wife and family, Daniel changed course and began to pursue a master’s degree in professional counseling from Amberton University.

Daniel specializes in working with individuals who find themselves in challenging seasons of their faith journey. Those who may be facing a crisis of faith due to a personal experience of abuse or trauma in a place of worship. Individuals who are questioning their beliefs or wrestling with new concepts that may challenge or contradict previously held theological narratives. Daniel provides a safe, empathetic, and judgment-free environment that allows for the client to begin to process their experiences, explore answers to challenging questions, while maintaining a spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Daniel utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in his therapeutic approach.

Daniel is married in a blended family of three children. When he is not chasing around his young daughter and son, he is listening to theology or history podcasts, watching his favorite Dallas sports teams, doing DIY projects around the home, or volunteering at his church.
