Get to know Farahana

Farahana's experience with divorce and being a single mom cracked her and broke parts of her she never thought she would be able to heal. The experience, however, pushed her to begin a journey of healing that led to a better understanding of knowing herself. The burdens of anger, betrayal, disappointment, guilt, shame, regret and resentment from her past which she carried from childhood to adulthood leading to divorce had to be healed. The commitment to focus on her own inner work opened avenues leading to compassion, forgiveness, and release of judgment in order to grow from a victim state to embracing a victor state. Mindfulness and meditation became her most important tool to help her on her journey of healing. It has helped her tremendously in her role as a mother to her 7-year-old son helping her approach parenting more mindfully and consciously. Not only does she believe in the healing impact of mindfulness, but she has turned this practice into her purpose and her career.

Farahana has led workshops on mindfulness and meditation to a diverse group of clients. Her community collaborations include teaching children at the Highland Park Independent School District (HPISD), children and parents at the First United Methodist Church (FUMC) Dallas and summer camps for children at We Yogis. She has also provided mindfulness training to school counselors at the Carrolton Farmers Branch Independent School District (CFBISD), staff and teachers at the Ivy Kids Learning Center in Frisco, TX as well as cancer patients and their caregivers at Cancer Care Services (CCS) Fort Worth, TX.

Sound Healing and Reiki

Reiki is a hands-on healing technique that involves channeling the Universal Life Force Energy through the palms of the healer’s hands. The Universal Life Force Energy is passed directly from the healer’s hands to the client’s body for the purpose of healing. Clients looking to release any physical, mental or emotional "stuck" energy that causes discomfort and pain in their everyday life are encouraged to explore Reiki as part of their healing journey. Individual 60-minute sessions provide clients an opportunity to experience hands-on healing in a safe and non-judgmental space where they can immerse into a calm, relaxing session experiencing also the sounds of Tibetan singing bowls that are also used to compliment the Reiki healing session.

Farahana also helps with anxiety and depression.
