Style and Approach

Jillian brings emotional safety and unconditional positive regard to help create a peaceful environment of healing and change. During her student practicum experience, Jillian worked at Hope’s Door New Beginnings Center. Here, she implemented play therapy and activity therapy to children and adolescents who struggled with anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. She also co-led healthy parenting and domestic violence groups for adults while at Hope’s Door. In the years following, Jillian served as an LPC Associate at HOPE Child and Family Center as well as at His Story Counseling and Coaching. At these practices, Jillian continued to offer therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families.

A Texan throughout her life, Jillian was born and raised in Dallas, Texas before moving to Katy. As she grew up naturally lending a listening ear to others, the field of counseling seemed like a perfect fit. While in graduate school, Jillian grew in excitement for the profession as she attended her own personal counseling for the first time. She experienced the power of emotional safety and unconditional positive regard in her own struggles with anxiety. She received a Bachelor of Psychology from Baylor University and returned to Dallas to complete her Master of Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS). Jillian now resides in Frisco, Texas.
