Get to know Joseph
Joseph specializes in working with children and adolescents. He also has experience working with veterans who have physical and mental disabilities. Joseph’s training is in rehabilitation counseling and he incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy techniques as he embarks upon the therapeutic journey with clients..
Joseph was born and raised in Waco, Texas. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio in kinesiology and minor in nutrition. Returning to Waco upon receiving his degree, Joseph made the choice to enroll as an officer for the U.S. Air Force. However, after receiving the news that he could no longer enroll due to his visual disability, he decided to use his skills to assist veterans in any way possible. He currently works in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Joseph is a student at University of North Texas at Denton working toward obtaining a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling.
Joseph is happiest when spending time with his wife and son. He also commits his time to the gym whenever possible, cooks new recipes, and enjoys watching football and basketball.
