Get to know Sara
Therapist Sara Goodrum is passionate about helping her clients learn to recognize patterns of thinking and behaviors, identifying what those patterns communicate about their own needs, and collaborating to achieve meaningful change. Sara sees individual clients, couples, and families at Lifeologie Counseling Hampton Roads, where she specializes in supporting teens and young adults who are facing major life transitions, anxiety, depression, family conflict, and other challenges.
Sara collaborates with each client to discover mindfulness practices they can practice in therapy and then incorporate into everyday life. She also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Sara brings a strengths-based perspective to the therapy space, helping clients focus on their positive qualities, capabilities, and inner resources to overcome the difficulties they face.
Sara is currently completing her MA in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University. She combines her professional ethics and clinical training with a personal belief that every client deserves to have a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where they feel empowered to achieve their goals.
