Get to know Valeria

Valeria De La Torre works with children, adolescents, and young adults. She incorporates mindfulness, expressive arts therapy, and play therapy into her work at Lifeologie, where she specializes in treating anxiety, stress and anger management, depression, gender identity, sexual issues, women’s issues, and the challenges of traditional and blended families. 

Valeria’s goal is to create a safe space for all of her clients so they can experience a sense of personal growth, self-acceptance, and self-awareness. She believes in forming collaborative therapeutic relationships with her clients consisting of trust and openness.

Her approach to counseling is heavily influenced by person-centered therapy which focuses on empathy, genuineness, and providing a judgment-free atmosphere. 

Valeria was born and raised in Texas and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University.

Valeria enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog. She also loves traveling, especially to Mexico, and going to concerts.
