Get to know Jason

Have you even felt powerless? Maybe you’ve felt it in a relationship, or in your family, or at work. Maybe sometimes you feel powerless against your own mind. Jason believes that there’s a deep well of power that exists inside you. All you have to do is find it. Jason would be honored to take that journey of self discovery with you. You are more powerful than you know, and he's there to help you see it.

Jason got his Bachelor’s of Science at University of Texas at Dallas, double majoring in Psychology and Child Development. He got his Master’s degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, specializing in substance use and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Jason has always been drawn to learning about how the brain works and how we learn to cope with life. Having his own struggles with identity and mental health issues strengthened his desire to learn and create a safe environment for others to learn too. Jason has worked as a preschool teacher, done counseling work with the LGBTQIA+ community, and has worked treating substance use with teenagers. Jason can work with anyone, no matter what age. He loves to meet people where they are and be a nonjudgmental presence for them.

When Jason isn't working, he enjoys playing video games, playing guitar, drawing, reading, and spending time with his lovely cats. He's naturally very curious and is always excited to learn new things. Jason is convinced that a large portion of his brain is used as storage for random facts that he'll probably never find a practical use for. He's also a huge believer in the power of humor. He loves to laugh and make others laugh as well. Jason always has time for a good joke or a funny story. He's a laid back kinda guy - he likes to go with the flow and see where life takes him. He hopes to go on a journey with you wherever life takes you.
