Get to know Stephanie

Stephanie provides a SAFE, non-judgmental counseling environment where individuals feel free to express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions.  She is passionate about facilitating the healing process in an encouraging and warm atmosphere full of hope. She places heavy importance on developing a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship to encourage clients to develop healthier methods of coping that empower them to reach their therapeutic goals.

Stephanie completed her undergraduate degree in music at Dallas Baptist University.  After years of working in management, music, and academic advising, she realized it was time to pursue something bigger where she was hopeful she could make a positive difference in this world.

She graduated in May of 2015 from Southern Methodist University with a Master of Science in Counseling. During her clinical training, she interned at the SMU Center for Family Counseling and a private practice where she counseled a wide variety of clients with concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, LGBT concerns, sexuality, grief, and career challenges.  Through her counseling experience, she facilitated groups for young adults on the autistic spectrum helping to develop communication, social, and team-building skills. Stephanie is also certified as a Battering Intervention and Prevention Program Specialist through the Family Place where she is trained to work with the victims and the batterers of domestic violence. She volunteered at a residential treatment facility for adolescent foster children providing group and individual mentorship. Through her education and experience, she worked with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages.  She has additional training in substance-related and addictive disorders and Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).

Outside of the office, Stephanie has a passion for being outdoors in the beauty of creation. She enjoys fly fishing in New Mexico and Colorado mountains. In addition, she also enjoys performing in musicals around the DFW area and singing in her church.
