Whitney is a Texas native who earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a master’s degree in professional counseling from Amberton University. She has experience working in pre-school education, children’s ministries, and recovery programs. Since beginning her counseling career, she has worked with a wide variety of clients from children and adolescents to adults.
Whitney is passionate about helping clients, especially those who are working on healing from trauma. She loves working with teens and young adults who may be in transitional seasons or are facing overwhelming situations in their life. She also finds joy in walking with those who may be navigating difficult family circumstances and learning to find their place and purpose in life.
As a counselor, Whitney believes everyone deserves a space that fosters healing and the opportunity for growth. She believes the client knows their story best, and with a little help sorting out the pieces they can begin to understand more about themselves. Her goal with each client is to provide a welcoming, safe environment where they can feel comfortable and begin working to become healthier and happier. Wherever a client may be in their journey, Whitney considers it a privilege to walk beside them.
When not at work, Whitney loves to read a good book with a cup of coffee beside her. Her new hobby is learning how to be a barista. She loves to try new coffee shops restaurants with friends. She is happiest spending time with loved ones playing games and enjoying a slow evening. Whitney enjoys traveling as well! She has traveled most of the United States, as well as most of Europe and Central America. Her favorite place so far has been Greece, and Switzerland is on her bucket list of places she’d like to travel to.
