Get to know Alaina
Alaina Glover, MS, PLPC, CTP provides counseling using an integrated approach to counseling that fits the needs of the client. Alaina has experienced positive responses from clients utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Moral Reconation Therapy groups (Basic and Trauma). Alaina has pioneered and implemented these counseling modalities in previous work settings that have enhanced the coping abilities of her clients with great success.
Alaina holds a PLPC license and is a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). She graduated from Northwestern State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Addictive Studies. She attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and graduated in 2014 with a Master's of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health. Alaina has completed over 3000 hours post-graduate internship in inpatient psychiatric care of the elderly as well as Multi-Systemic Therapy in the community and outpatient mental health rehabilitation. Alaina has provided counseling services and case management for over 13 years to individuals such as children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, that span a variety of cultures and diagnoses. Alaina has provided services in settings that include inpatient and residential facilities, outpatient counseling agencies, and community/home-based counseling.
Alaina's counseling services aim to help manage mental health needs and symptoms such as ADD/ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Conduct, Oppositional Defiance, Bi-Polar Disorders, Substance Abuse and Dependence, Schizoaffective, Intellectual Disorders, and victims of abuse and neglect. In her spare time, Alaina loves woodworking, DIY projects, hunting, and gardening. Alaina also loves to spend time with her family and children. Alaina enjoys attending her daughter's sports events and cheering on the team.
