Get to know Cameron
Cameron was raised in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. She moved to the Research Triangle to complete her undergraduate degree and play Division 1 soccer at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. As an undergraduate she majored in business administration and conducted psychology research in the business world. Now she is getting her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. She looks forward to working with individuals, couples, and families.
Cameron believes that each person has not only innate value, but also huge potential waiting to be unlocked. She chose to become a mental health professional to help people unlock this potential for themselves. She believes in the importance of marriage and families and is passionate about helping couples and families achieve goals such as stability, mutual respect, and positive growth together. Growing up, she struggled with anxiety and disordered eating as a competitive athlete but feels as though these experiences happened so that she could help others heal from similar battles. She cares about creating a secure space built on trust and respect in which individuals, couples and families can reflect and grow into the best versions of themselves.
When she isn’t working, she enjoys long walks or watching anime with her husband, reading, writing, exercising, and baking.
