Get to know Marie

Marie likes to take an integrative approach to her clinical practice. She believes that the most important part of therapy is establishing a connection. In studying all that psychology has to offer, she doesn’t want to limit herself to any one approach. Just as each client is unique, so is the approach that must be taken. She specializes in working with women and adolescents.  She has experience with anxiety, depression, Complex PTSD, grief, ADHD, and personality disorders.

Marie is the oldest of seven from the east side of Michigan. Growing up around people who were neuro-divergent made her fascinated with how the human brain works. She loves figuring out what makes each person unique. We all have such amazingly different and complex stories to tell, she wants to hear yours.  She has been in therapy for over 20 years and got her bachelor's in psychology from Calvin College. After raising her four kids she is now ready to start her career and considers her maturity an asset. She is now getting her Master's at Western Michigan University.

In her spare time, Marie loves to spend time with her family and often visits her son at college. She loves Zumba, working out, and trying different kinds of dance. She loves true crime and suspense movies. She also loves plants and briefly had her own business but now has a huge private collection.
