Get to know Michell

Michell is the oldest of four children. Michell is a wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend and so much more. She loves Jesus and takes pride in being able to serve others. At an early age, she knew she wanted to become a therapist. Michell lives by the motto - “I am second”. She is a licensed professional counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist and board approved supervisor.

Michell has been in private practice since December of 2005. She is the owner and operator of Redding Therapy Center. She has experience working with the homeless population, children and family services, mental health rehabilitation, intensive home-based services, girl’s group home facility work and juvenile delinquents. Michell spends her spare time enjoying the cool breeze while riding her motorcycle or playing a challenging game of tennis.

Michell specializes in teaching anger management, parenting classes, domestic abuse education prevention classes, individual therapy, group therapy and marriage and family therapy. Michell is a member of the LCA (Louisiana Counseling Association) and NWLCA (Northwest Louisiana Counseling Association). Michell specializes in working with trauma. She is trained in YPTSD (Youth Post-traumatic Stress Disorder) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy). Michell firmly believes that everything we have experienced as a child affects us an adult. She feels understanding our past helps us process our present and future. Michell is dedicated to any task presented. She is professional mixed with caring. Michell feels therapy is not her job but a journey to helping people become the best version of themselves.
