Get to know Brian
“Feeling stuck and/or absent? Curious to find out what the best version of yourself looks like? Having difficulties finding answers when feeling lost? My goal as your therapist is to provide a non-judgmental and safe environment. Together, I hope to facilitate your change to become the best version of yourself.”
Brian was born and raised in South Korea and relocated to Dallas, TX after moving back and forth at a young age. His upbringing in both South Korea and in the U.S. broadened his perspectives on cultural differences to shape his understanding of human experience, further solidifying his mindset to value each individual’s unique stories.
Brian is passionate about working with adults and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, anger, men’s issues, failure to launch/young adults, LGBTQ+, wellness, and career concerns. With several substantial moves across different countries, Brian has been able to immerse himself in different cultures and societal norms. Brian is bilingual and provides psychological services in English and Korean. Brian works with each client to come up with their own individual treatment plan by utilizing a holistic approach.
Brian graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in neuroscience. He is currently obtaining his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. Prior to working at Lifeologie, Brian worked with active duty military members/veterans at Fort Hood military base and Veterans Affairs. Additionally, he worked with independent school district employees to implement best wellness practices. When he’s not in session, Brian loves to travel, try new restaurants, and be outdoors with his dog Okami.
