Get to know Darian

Darian is a graduate student at Walden University studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Addiction Counseling. She is passionate about working in prevention and treatment within LGBTQIA+ and minority communities. Darian believes it is important to advocate for these communities and tackle stigmas surrounding addiction as well as, sexual, gender, and racial minorities.

Darian believes that clients are experts in their lives and experiences, and lets curiosity guide her in individualizing approaches for everyone who she has the pleasure of working with. Her goal is to empower clients to create change within their lives and make their worlds into places they would like to exist within. She feels that everyone has the tools necessary to overcome life's obstacles and is grateful to have the opportunity to assist clients in harnessing their power.

When she is not at work, Darian is passionate about finding time to fill her cup. She does this by spending time with her family, friends, and fur babies. You can find her singing and dancing along to her favorite songs. Trying out new recipes, her newest venture being baby food. Catching a game in person or on TV, or relaxing/playing outside.
