I have a passion for working with individuals across the lifespan experiencing stress, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also enjoy working with children and adolescents by creating a fun, developmentally appropriate space for self-expression.

In my approach, I believe in focusing on the client’s needs and figuring out what has been working, but more importantly what has not. I enjoy helping the client increase their knowledge and awareness of ineffective patterns and replacing them by implementing more positive patterns in their routines. In addition, providing the client with a safe environment enabling growth and self-confidence is important to me.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Prairie View A & M University. Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern Methodist University. Since the start of my career, I have worked heavily with the prison population at the Dallas County Jail. I have conducted research on minority self-esteem, gender differences in internalized behaviors, and colligate substance use. I have volunteered with individuals across the lifespan instilling encouragement and hope for them to continue on this journey called life.

I was born in Austin and raised in Dallas, I am a true Texas girl at heart! I love to spend time with my family and friends finding different activities around the city.  In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, skating, listening to podcasts, and reading fun facts about various topics.
