Get to know Sarah
Sarah is from a small town called La Feria but currently resides in Dallas, TX. As a child, her heart became increasingly eager to help those in need. While she didn’t know what that looked like, she felt a desire to remind individuals how valued and loved they are. Shortly after graduating high school, she decided to follow her passion and pursue a degree in counseling. Sarah received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2018. At this time, she is currently working on her master’s in Clinical Mental Health in the hopes of one day providing therapeutic tools and coping skills to individuals in all walks of life. In a world full of hatred, loneliness and pain, Sarah believes the power of listening and providing counseling tools can greatly affect an individual’s outlook. She believes we all have a story to share and it would be an honor to walk with you on this journey.
While working on my master’s degree, Sarah has been working as a high school teacher. Being a teacher has been an incredible experience that has allowed her the opportunity to help students learn life lessons.
Sarah believes that we have the ability to take control of our thinking patterns simply through awareness and restructuring our thoughts. Although it is impossible for an individual to process every thought that enters our brain, we do have the power to control irrational and rational thoughts. The framework for this is the importance of becoming conscious of our thought patterns and replacing irrational beliefs with rational beliefs.
During her free time, Sarah enjoys exploring coffee shops with friends, binge-watching New Girl and spending plenty of time with her dog (Arlo) and cat (Ferguson). Sarah also enjoys reading psychological thriller books in her free time. She is thrilled to be a part of Lifeologie and meet you wherever you may be.
