A Summer Group For High Schoolers
(July 18, 19, 21, & 22)

About the Group:

Have you ever noticed that getting outside lowers your teen’s stress? Do they have an interest in the outdoors and have some extra time this summer? Would you like them to learn ways to connect nature to their mental health?

Join us for our summer hiking group for high schoolers! We will spend a week taking 4 different hikes. On each of the hikes we will learn new skills to improve your overall mental health and also see different local parks and what they have to offer.

Do you have an interest in learning ways nature reduces stress? Then, yes!

More Details:

Who: High schoolers

What: Visiting local parks for hikes and engaging with nature to promote mental wellness

Where: Various locations around Ada/Cascade

When: July 18,19, 21, and 22, from 10:00am to 12:00pm

Why: Research shows that getting outside reduces stress and improves mood. Let’s spend our summer in nature

Cost: $60 for all 4 hikes

Prior to the event, you will receive addresses and a schedule of each hike.

Commonly Asked Questions:

Is this just for teens or are parents welcome too?

– Although we love the thought of you getting outside with your teen, this group is just for teens and their peers. The group is closed so that teens can really get to know each other.

What happens if it rains?

– If it rains too hard to hike, the hike will be canceled and you will be refunded $15.

Do I have to be an expert hiker to come? What if I’ve never hiked before?

– Any level of outdoor skills is welcome!

Can I just sign up for one of the hikes?

– In order to get the full benefits of the group, sign ups will be for all 4 hiking sessions.
