50% of all pregnancies are unintended and 30% of women in the US will choose to have an abortion by age 45. Studies show that the predominant emotion following an abortion is relief (often accompanied by guilt, sadness, or grief). There are many people and factors involved in the decision-making process once a person discovers they are pregnant, and some of these factors can be complicated and overwhelming. Seeking a counselor during any moment of the process (from making a decision to the feelings after this decision is made) could help you process your experience.
