Intimate Partner Violence

Find Your Counselor

About

Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is violence or psychological intimidation that occurs within the context of a marriage or a romantic relationship.

First thing’s first: If you are feeling unsafe, or think you may be currently experiencing abuse, please get help. If you are currently in an abusive relationship, know that this does not define your worth. No one has the right to physically intimidate or bring violence upon another person. There are resources available for you.

If you have survived IPV, we are here to tell you that you’re not alone. You are brave and strong, and you deserve to heal. We see you. Even after you’ve escaped your terrible situation, the emotional toll of having been mistreated can last long after the abuse has ended and the visible wounds have healed. Counseling can help you identify and address scars of the past, build on your strengths, and foster a sense of resiliency in you as you take these next steps forward.
