Get to know Adrian

A native Texan, Adrian was born in Waco and moved with his family to the Dallas/Ft Worth area when he was 2 years old. Being raised by a single mother gave Adrian an intimate working knowledge that children raised by single parents face, in particular, young men raised by single mothers.

Adrian offers a diverse and wide range of counseling and life coaching options.  Adrian specializes in working with teens & adults dealing with ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, guilt, shame, addictions, and relationship counseling.  Also, he is experienced with teens and young adults experiencing life transition struggles, as well as the LGBTQ population.  Adrian pulls from a variety of theories when working with individuals including Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Attachment theory as well as Solution Based Therapy.

By using a skilled and empathetic approach, Adrian is able to help couples navigate challenges, improve communication, and strengthen their relationship. While utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches, our sessions are primarily grounded in the principles of person-centered therapy. This specific type of therapy helps to foster a safe and nonjudgmental space where both partners can express themselves openly. Adrian's overall goal as a couples counselor is to empower every couple to transform their challenges into opportunities for growth, fostering a deeper understanding and connection that enriches their relationship journey.

Adrian's goal is to foster a judgment-free environment, where each person feels free to be completely genuine, loved and accepted.  Adrian is an enthusiastic and welcoming counselor who sincerely meets his clients where they are and moves them forward to success. He works hard to understand his client’s goals and ambitions while remaining focused on the practical steps that they must take to achieve their dreams.

Adrian completed his undergrad work at The University of North Texas and then received his Masters in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.  He has a background in competitive sports and coaching and enjoys working with athletes on issues unique to them.   Adrian and his wife have two children, a 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter.
