Get to know Emmanuel

With a passion for helping teenagers, young adults, and the elderly, Emmanuel Ezeokeke is committed to working through various kinds of mental health problems, including life transitions, severe anxiety, depression, PTSD, personality disorders, difficulties in relationships or intimacy, and so many others. Clients may feel he provides a safe environment free of judgment where they can explore issues and sensitive topics they might not have been able to in other places.

Emmanuel is no stranger to clients with different viewpoints, perspectives, and experiences from his own, as he has lived and schooled in more than three countries, including in Africa and Asia, and is thus equipped to help people navigate problems of living, adapting, assimilating, and succeeding in new environments. He is also concerned with issues of oppression, dealing with bullying, thriving as a first-generation immigrant or refugee, and other clients who may deal with multicultural issues and dilemmas. His experiences are especially helpful in bringing unique ideas to tackle problems in new and creative ways. Emmanuel has a sense of duty to make clients feel heard and understood and to find their authentic selves to live in the world in a way that is truer to their interests, livelihood, sense of self, and voice.

Emmanuel is currently completing his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University. Looking at things from a biopsychosocial perspective, he ensures that clients are well cared for physically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually to ensure sustained recovery.

Emmanuel is a lover of arts, self-expression, and understanding nature deeply. In his spare time, he enjoys hobbies such as reflective self-journaling, drawing or creating art, playing the piano, and walking in the solitude of nature.
