Get to know Jason

Life rarely goes according to plan, and sometimes, we all need a little extra support to find our footing again. Jason Baniukaitis creates an empathetic, collaborative space where clients can feel free to explore who they are, how they relate to others, and how the world around them has shaped their story. He believes that each person's experiences and identities are at the heart of meaningful change.

He works with adults and teenagers navigating a wide range of life's challenges, from anxiety, depression, and grief to life transitions, career questions, and relationship dynamics. Jason is also deeply committed to providing an affirming, judgment-free space for LGBTQ+ clients, where every identity is welcomed and celebrated.

Jason works from a perspective that pulls from many different approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and a person-centered orientation. As part of his collaborative approach, he emphasizes working from an evidence-based framework based on research.

Jason earned his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Grand Valley State University and his Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University.

In his free time, he enjoys playing tabletop games, video games, and spending time with friends, family, and his dog. He also enjoys learning and being exposed to new experiences and ideas.
