Multicultural Counseling

Kristina’s multicultural background allows her to adapt therapeutic techniques and interventions to align with her client's cultural backgrounds and beliefs, ensuring that therapy is relevant and effective for everyone. Kristina's personal and professional experience enables her to approach therapy with cultural sensitivity, acknowledging and respecting her clients' unique values, beliefs, and experiences.

Additionally, she may assist clients in identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to their distress. With flexibility and approachability, Kristina is open to learning from her clients. She can easily recognize that her clients may have unique insights and approaches to wellbeing that differ from hers. By embracing this flexibility and openness, she can incorporate new perspectives into her treatment approaches and create a more inclusive therapeutic environment.

Kristina has a BS in Psychology with a minor in Behavioral Health Analysis and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University in Virginia.

She enjoys traveling and has visited many countries and US states, which helped her expand her cultural competency and gain a deeper understanding of other people's cultures. She also enjoys spending time with loved ones and participating in outdoor activities, like disc golf with her husband. She has two dogs, a Labrador mix named Bella and a chihuahua named Finn. Her passion is to help people improve their overall wellbeing and develop resilience to navigate life's challenges.
